Contest #1 - Financial Literacy

Ever wondered why you are left with a little less than expected cash in hand or in your account to buy that bike or car or home or anything else you always wanted to own? Why is it that majority of us (including me) have almost every time postponed that vacation or a trip to Goa that we always wished to go to, with our friends or families? I can continue with this never ending list of problems that we face in our everyday life, but what I really want you to know is the solutions to such similar problems.

The causes of such problems may be :

•  We didn't plan to achieve that goal (buying a bike / car / home)
•  Impulsive buying
•  We didn't save money to buy that dream home

The only solution to such problems is being Financially Literate (also called as Financial Literacy).

WHY FINANCIAL LITERACY ?

Being Financially Literate allows us to :

•  Prioritize the list of goals we want to achieve in the near future
•  Differentiate between a "NEED" and a "WANT"
•  Aids us in understanding an "ASSET" and a "LIABILITY"
•  Teaches us to save before spending

PURPOSE OF THIS BLOG ?

We have started this blog with the intention of sharing knowledge about Financial Literacy to each and every person reading this right now. It is the need of an hour to understand the importance of money and to know where we are lagging behind which causes above mentioned problems to occur.

We have already started our YouTube Channel (Redesign Rebuild Reclaim) last year in November, 2016 to spread awareness about Financial Literacy. To spread awareness among others, I have decided to come up with this blog in which new Posts will be added in every 2 weeks.

To get started, we will host a contest based on Financial Literacy.
Contest will be based on a video that we will be releasing on our YouTube Channel on 25th June 2017 at 09:00 pm IST. Contest will be active till 31st July 2017. Paytm Cash credits to be won by lucky winners every week.

Sneak Peek :
Contest will contain a scenario containing Income of a person based on which questions will be asked using Google docs.
Simple questions, you will have to answer all questions and submit.
